To be eligible, students must be at least 18 years old or above upon application, a firefighter, enrolled in a post-secondary institution taking up fire-related courses. Their commanding officer must approve their courses. They should be serving in one of the fire departments in Boone, Stephenson, Ogle, or Winnebago County. Anthony Narigi Hospitality Scholarship Fund

The Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa founded the Anthony Narigi Hospitality Scholarship Fund to honor the legacy of Anthony Nicholas Narigi, a well-respected, long-time staff of the hotel. This is offered to students planning to join the hospitality industry.

Interested applicants must be living in Santa Clara County, Monterey County, San Francisco County, Napa County, Sonoma County, or Contra Costa County. They also have to be currently attending an academic program relevant to the hospitality industry. They should also maintain at least a 2.5 GPA and have completed a minimum of 100 hours in a hospitality workplace. The award amount is up to $5,000, and there will be five chosen recipients of this scholarship.

HUMANITIES

Critical thinking skills are honed by courses in English, philosophy, theology, foreign language, and social science. Scholarships for humanities majors can help students who reject the critics of liberal arts education pay for their higher education.

Fryxell Scholarship

Dr. Lucy Fryxell forms the Fryxell Scholarship to honor the memory of her husband. The couple was both master teachers who committed their life to look after the students’ welfare and develop their potential.

Interested students planning to join the program must be taking up Humanities as their major and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Those taking up journalism or English major are also encouraged to apply. The scholar will receive $1,000 worth of financial assistance. As part of the application process, the student needs to submit an essay with 700 words.

Carolyn Balsa Hancock Memorial Scholarship

Military affiliation includes dependents and spouses of military veterans, active-duty soldiers, and those who died in battle, in addition to those who have served. It can even include the grandkids of retired or deceased military personnel. If your parent or grandparent served or is serving in the United States military, you can apply for these scholarships by checking the Military Affiliation box on your profile.

Matthews & Swift Scholarship

This scholarship program is administered by the Knights of Columbus and offered to the organization members’ children with good standing and are killed or permanently injured while on duty in the armed forces. Also, those children of firefighters and law enforcers can apply for this program.

Interested students planning to join the program must attend a Catholic college and provide proof of enrollment. They also need to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program and be 26 years old and below upon application. The scholar will receive up to $25,000 worth of financial assistance, which should only cover educational expenses.

Scholarships by Employer/Organization/Institution

The employer/organization/institution scholarships are some of the many various ways to identify and qualify for scholarships. However, this scholarship is overlooked in today’s world of internet scholarship searches. We haven’t forgotten about them, and we have quite a few on our scholarship database.

$1,000 Cappex Easy Money Scholarship

Cappex, through its College Greenlight program, is offering a $1,000 scholarship to students attending accredited secondary and post-secondary schools. One winner will be selected randomly on the first day of each month. The official rules are posted on this link.


Raytheon-FIRST Robotics Scholarships

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and Raytheon Technologies partner for the Raytheon-FIRST Robotics Scholarship program.

The 40 scholarships worth $1,000 initiative is open to FIRST alumni—or previous FIRST Robotics Competition or a FIRST Tech Challenge team participants—pursuing undergraduate education as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) majors.

Applications are now ongoing.


The Coolidge Scholarship

A Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, presidential scholarship awarded annually to undergraduate students to cover four-year tuition, room and board, and other expenses. The application process begins in the junior year of high school. Coolidge Scholars Finalist Jury interviews the applicants during a finalist weekend at Plymouth Notch, Vermont.

Scholarships from this one-of-a-kind program can be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.


Too Cool to Pay for School Scholarship

The Too Cool to Pay for School offers scholarships to pay for room and board, technology, books, and other educational expenses. Applicants should be high school, college, or graduate students or planning to enroll within two years.

To apply, check the terms and conditions of the scholarship program and fill out the online form. The quarterly application deadline falls in March, June, September, and December every year. 

The recipients will be announced on the website.


John Lennon Scholarships

The John Lennon Scholarship awards student songwriters and composers in contemporary musical genres, namely alternative, pop, rock, indie, electronica, R&B, and experimental scholarships totaling $20,000.

This yearly scholarship program was established in 1997 by Yoko Ono and granted in partnership with Gibson Musical Instruments to honor the memory of one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, John Lennon.

College students 17 to 24 years old are welcome to submit their compositions.


Taco Bell Foundation Live Mas Scholarship

To support the next generation of leaders, Taco Bell Foundation offers students the Live Más Scholarship (pronounced “Liv maws”). Applicants must create a video entry answering any of the following questions:

Videos as short as 30 seconds or as long as 2 minutes are accepted.


Bumblebee Linens $500 Scholarship

The Bumblebee Linens invites undergraduates and graduate students at accredited US universities to apply for the one-time $500 scholarship.

Applicants must submit a 1,000-word essay about a life-changing event. There is no GPA requirement or application form. The deadline for applications is August 22, 2022.


Around the Corner from College – $1,000 Scholarship

US citizen or US resident high school students may apply for the Around the Corner from College Scholarship. Applicants must complete the application form and express the ways they best prepare for college.

Submissions are accepted every December 31 and June 30 every year. $1,000 will be awarded to one winner in each application period.


Nashville Songwriting Scholarship

Nashville Songwriting Scholarships are open to students who compose country, Americana, blues, bluegrass, folk, pop, and rock songs. The composer of the best original entry will get a $5,000 scholarship.

Singer Kacey Musgraves, a Grammy-winning recording artist and BMI songwriter, facilitates and endorses this competition.


Leaders Save Lives Scholarship Program 

American Red Cross offers the Leaders Save Lives scholarship for students who host a blood drive between December 15, 2021, to January 15, 2022, or within June 1 and August 31, 2022. 

Earn a gift card and qualify for a scholarship if the blood drive collects 25 pints or more.


Tallo Scholarship

Tallo offers students $1000 in scholarships every month. Students can access scholarships opportunities through the Tallo scholarship database.

Fathers for Scholars 

Based on a comprehensive application process, Fathers for Scholars will award students $500.00 in scholarships. The committee members consider academic accomplishments, community service hours, a statement of interest, references, and financial need, among other factors. The recipients will obtain scholarship funds directly from the trade school, community college, university, or certification program facility they are attending.

This scholarship is open for everyone to apply. To qualify, you must meet be a father who wants to be hands-on in parenting. You must demonstrate that you need financial support for your studies.


$2,000 “No Essay” College Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students of secondary and post-secondary schools. Like most financial assistance programs where they require essays, this one doesn’t.

Interested applicants can submit their entries, and the drawing of winners will be done randomly. The scholarship amount of $2,000 will be used to pay for all education-related costs.


Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship

This scholarship program aims to strengthen the efforts of deleting cyberbullying and invites secondary and post-secondary students to participate. They get to support the initiative while receiving assistance for their academic expenses.

To be eligible, applicants have to be officially enrolled in an accredited college or university. If still in high school, they have to plan on attending a post-secondary school. Their entries must be submitted before the deadline on July 30 and sent to the given address. The criteria for judging the essay are based on content, creativity, and commitment to deleting cyberbullying. The chosen scholar will receive $1,000.

The Meyerhoff Center Jewish Scholarships

Clark University Merit Scholarships

These merit-based awards are given to 60% of Clark University students based on their qualifications and NOT financial need. To inquire about eligibility requirements and the deadline, contact the scholarships coordinator.


Tuition Promise Scholarship

Berea College offers a no-tuition scholarship program. Students will only fork out less than $1,000 for housing, fees, and meals and receive financial assistance for available books. Students should have at least a GPA of 3.0, present a financial need, and have character recommendations as part of the eligibility requirements.


Knight-Hennessy Scholars at Stanford University

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program promotes diversity in the multidisciplinary community of leaders from across the world and teaches them to collaborate as they prepare to face the challenges in society. As scholars, they will acquire loads of community experiences, engage in various workshops, and join global study trips.

To be qualified for the program, students must attend a graduate program at Stanford University as full-time students. Also, they should have graduated between January 2014-September 2021 and are available to residents from around the world.

Disability Scholarships

Scholarships for students with disabilities are available from scholarship sources. Students who are Deaf, blind, or otherwise physically challenged will find scholarships in this list, as will students with inheritable illnesses, cancer or heart problems, intellectual or developmental impairments, learning disabilities or learning disparities, or who have a disabled parent.

The John Lepping Memorial Scholarship

The John Lepping Memorial Scholarships help disabled young individuals aspiring to continue their education. The organization is aware of the struggles that their families went through to financially support college education, their medication, and rehabilitation procedure simultaneously. Hence, they welcome youths with disabilities to apply for the said program.

There will be four recipients of a scholarship award worth $5,000. To be eligible, students must provide proof of their disabilities, such as spinal cord injury, psychological conditions, PTSD, and a letter of confirmation from the physician. Also, they have to be U.S. citizens based in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.


Jacqueline Shearer Memorial Scholarship

The Jacqueline Shearer Memorial Fund was created to honor and carry out Jacqueline Shearer’s legacy. At age 11, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor and battled for more than ten years.

The scholarship program is open to young adults, from 15-39 years old, who are cancer survivors or who supported a parent or sibling who had cancer.  Applicants have to exhibit financial need and are planning to pursue a college degree. They have to be in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan zone, to be eligible for the program.

Scholarships by GPA

GPA (or Grade Point Average) criteria are one of the most common types of scholarships. A minimum GPA is nearly generally required for merit-based scholarships, but a minimum GPA might also be required for need-based scholarships. GPAs are typically graded on a four-point system, and the highest GPA you can mention on your profile at Scholarships.com is a 4.0. You’ll need to convert your GPA to the 4.0 scale to add it to your profile if your institution utilizes a 5.0 or 6.0 scale.

Crimson Transfer Scholarship

Transfer students enrolled at the Gwynedd Mercy University as full-time learners can apply for the Crimson Transfer Scholarship. Upon application, they must already hold a 3.0 GPA and have completed the initial admissions process. The recipient can renew their scholarship for three years as long as they keep a minimum of 3.0 GPA.


Mother Mary Bernard Scholarship

First-time students at Gwynedd Mercy University can apply for the Mother Mary Bernard Scholarship program. As part of the selection process, this program is based on the applicant’s high school GPA. The scholarship is open for renewal for up to three years, as long as they’ve maintained a minimum 2.75 GPA. The award amount ranges from $18,000-$19,000.


McAuley Scholarship

The McAuley Scholarship is offered to students of Gwynedd Mercy University who hold a minimum of 3.5 GPA. Students must be first-time students at the university and are part of the Honors Program. Normally, those under the McAuley Scholarship can qualify for the Presidential Scholarship–a full-tuition grant. The award amount ranges from $18,000-$19,000.

Diversity Scholarships

Minority students of diverse backgrounds and races make up a considerable percentage of the college population in the United States. The criteria for diversity student scholarships vary but are not limited to ethnicity or race. Multi-ethnic students should be eligible for at least one of the diversity scholarships listed.

University of Wisconsin Superior Non-resident Tuition Waiver Program

The Non-resident Tuition Waiver (NTW) Scholarship program is offered to students from diverse backgrounds to make the cost of studying at the University of Wisconsin affordable. Undergraduates and graduate students are welcome to send their applications.

The AIChE Minority Scholarship Award

AIChE offers a Minority Scholarship Award to selected undergraduate student members every year. The applicant must be an undergraduate Chemical Engineering student of African-American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaskan Native, or Pacific Islander descent.

The student will receive $1,000 throughout the school year, renewable to the following year as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. The deadline for all applications will be on July 15, 2022.


Advantage Iowa Award

The Advantage Iowa award is for students from an underrepresented group who wish to study at the University of Iowa or other institutions that have joined the Upward Bound program. In this merit-based scholarship, applicants must be full-time students with a GPA of 2.0. 

Applications are accepted on or before December 1 every year. Applicants who are not residents of Iowa are eligible for this scholarship.


The Skin Care Ox: Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women

Women who strive to live healthy lives can apply for the Skin Care Ox: Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women program. This scholarship is for high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students committed to maintaining personal wellness. Women residing in the US and enrolled in any major may apply, regardless of GPA.

A maximum of 500 words must be written according to the topic listed on their site. The quality of your writing will be judged according to the originality, creativity, and advocacy of healthy lifestyle choices. The short online application must be completed and submitted by midnight PST on January 1, March 31, June 30, and September 30 every year. 


Hispanic Youth Heritage Awards

The 23rd annual Youth Awards by the Hispanic Heritage Program honors Latino high school students who excel in the classroom and the community for their accomplishments in various categories. If you’re pursuing business, education, sustainability, engineering, healthcare, public service, and media, you can try and apply for this program. 

To qualify, you must be a senior high school student with a 3.0 GPA. You should be of Hispanic heritage, coming from the Philippines, Spain, and Brazil. You should be enrolling for college within the 2022-2023 academic year. Visit their page for more details.


Air Products Women of Gases & Welding Scholarship

Air Products is committed to promote and support technical education for several years. One of its initiatives to champion this cause is by forming a scholarship program for women pursuing a career in the welding industry.

Students planning to submit their application must be female attending a welding-related degree program. They must not be older than 18 years old, holding a high school diploma, and a legal citizens of the US.
