Utah Valley University New Zealand: Emergency Services 2024 Program

Apply on or before October 1, 2023 and get the chance to become part of Utah Valley University’s New Zealand: Emergency Services 2024 Program on January 16-30 2024! This is open for students in UVU’s College of Health and Public Services but students in other majors will also be considered. The places of study are Christchurch, Auckland, and Wellington in New Zealand where participants will study emergency management and related matters.

Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law Semester Exchange Programs

Indiana University Bloomington, a public research university, offers a highly selective study abroad/student exchange program for law students in their sophomore and junior years. Indiana’s Maurer School of Law sends accepted students into its partner law schools in Europe, Asia and South America, and these are one-to-one student exchanges. Indiana exchange students pay the same tuition and fees as their on-campus counterparts and transfer credits are allowed.

Applications are now accepted for the fall and spring semesters for partner international schools including:

  • Panthéon-Assas Université (Paris, France)
  • Bucerius Law School (Budapest, Hungary)
  • Trinity College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland)
  • Università Bocconi (Milan, Italy)
  • Warsaw University Faculty of Law & Administration (Warsaw, Poland)

Classes are usually conducted in English but students have plenty of opportunities for immersions in the local culture.

Northeastern University Study Abroad Program

Northeastern University’s Study Abroad Program offers students enviable opportunities to spend their fall, spring or summer terms in a foreign school. Transfer credits are awarded, the icing on the cake considering the rich opportunities to immerse yourself in the local culture, broaden your horizons and enrich your life.

Spring applications will be open in early July with the deadline set on September 20, 2023 (11:59pm EST). Programs offered are in the following locations:

  • Cardiff University (Wales, UK)
  • City University London (England, UK)
  • CSAT & Tunghai University

Iowa State University Study Abroad Program

Iowa State’s Study Abroad Center administers its study abroad programs, namely, Exchange Programs, Direct Partner Programs, Affiliate Provider Programs, and Faculty-Led and Travel Courses Programs. With 50+ study programs available, students can choose to study abroad for a week to a full year!

Applications for the Spring 2024 term must be received on or before October 1, 2023.

  • Spend the spring term at Richmond University (England) and earn 12-15 credits in academic areas like communications, social sciences, humanities and business.
  • Take courses at the University of Exeter (England) in academic areas including social sciences, humanities, STEM, and human sciences.
  • Learn at the Lorenzo de Medici Institute (Italy) where classes are offered in English and come with lectures and field trips.

Financial aid options are available for qualified students.

University of Utah Learning Abroad Program

The University of Utah, a public research university, has three programs under its Learning Abroad Program. First, the faculty-led programs where faculty members and students stay in foreign countries for 3-8 weeks, usually during the summer or breaks. Second, the exchange program where students earn transfer credits; selection is highly competitive. Third, the affiliate program where students also earn transfer credits and enjoy other benefits.

The programs with open applications include:

  • The University of Utah Asia Campus program that accepts students for a year-long experience or for the spring term in 2024 (Deadline: November 1, 2023). Fields of study include accounting, computer engineering, and urban ecology, and more.
  • The cohort-based AMIDEAST Area and Arabic Language Studies Virtual Learning and Cultural Exchange program that accepts applications for the Spring 2024 term (Deadline: November 1, 2023).

University of Chicago Study Abroad Program

The University of Chicago, a private research university, designed its Study Abroad program for students to expand their horizons through a wide range of international learning experiences. Students choose from faculty-led programs, summer grant programs, and direct enrollment programs by expanding their intellectual and cultural perspectives. UChicago ensures that selected students benefit from financial aid eligibility and transfer credit, thanks to their enrollment status at the university, while studying abroad.

Among the programs with open applications include: (All programs have a final application deadline of November 3, 2023)

  • The Barcelona Public Policy Program (ACG) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra where students learn about policy-making processes in a foreign setting through didactic coursework, excursions and exposures.
  • The spring Art History program is conducted at the University of Chicago Center in Paris with all students welcome to apply. There are three art courses and a French language course included in the program.
  • The spring Astronomy program is also at the University of Chicago Center in Paris and consists of three courses in the physical sciences.

University of Arizona Study Abroad Program

The University of Arizona, a public land-grant research university, offers its students the coveted opportunity of studying at its international locations. Students selected for its Study Abroad program benefit from the same tuition and financial aid options that the Main campus offers, as well as earn credits toward their respective degrees. There are also Global Track options for certain majors.

Applications are open for the following international locations:

  • Athens, Greece-based American College of Greece (ACG) with areas of study in anthropology, astronomy, and biology, to name a few. Application deadline for the spring term is September 15, 2023; spring term is from January 15, 2024 to April 25, 2024. Applicants must be at least in their sophomore year and with a 2.75 GPA.
  • The Monash University in Melbourne, Australia where students choose from mathematics, business and humanities. Application deadline is on October 1, 2023.
  • The Rainforest Biodiversity in Ecuador program has an application deadline of October 13, 2023 with a duration between December 27, 2023 and January 10, 2024 (Winter term). Students will study the flora and fauna at the Yasuni National Park region.

United States Department of State – Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (Sponsor) Fulbright U.S. Student Program

Send in your application to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program now! The 2024-2025 award cycle is now open for applications with the national deadline on October 10, 2023 (5pm ET).

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is among the largest in the world with partnerships made with 140+ countries worldwide. Graduating college students, graduate students and young professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines are welcome to apply for outstanding opportunities for teaching English, conducting research and pursuing graduate study. This is an immersive program where participants live within their host communities and promote intercultural understanding.

There are several types of awards to choose from, namely:

  • Open Study/Research Awards
  • English Teaching Assistant Awards
  • Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships In Public Health
  • Fulbright-National Geographic Award

Applicants must be prepared for the highly selective awards process.

Ohio University Student Exchange Program

Ohio University, a public research university, has its OHIO Exchange Programs in partnership with colleges and universities in several countries. Exchange students build professional competencies in intercultural settings but pay based on Ohio’s regular tuition and fees regardless of their foreign location. Applicants are selected based on competitive criteria including academic achievements and letters of references.

Available student exchange programs include:

  • The University of Southern Denmark exchange program, a tuition free exchange, with application deadline on September 20, 2023 for the Spring 2024 term. Students can choose from English-language courses in the social sciences and humanities.
  • The Augsburg University of Applied Science Exchange program focuses on communication, journalism and media. Applicants must submit their applications for the spring/summer semester 2024 before October 1, 2023.
  • The Hong Kong Baptist University exchange program offers a wide range of focus areas including art, business, and STEM fields. The application deadline for the Spring 2024 term is September 20, 2023; the spring term is from early January to late May.

Texas A&M University Global Engagement Education Abroad

Texas A&M University (TAMU), a top-ranking public land-, sea and space-grant research university, offers its students numerous study abroad and student exchange opportunities. Many of these international opportunities are available to students in its College Station, Galveston, and McAllen campuses, too.

Applicants must have at least 3.0 GPA, among other minimum requirements, to be considered. Students pay TAMU tuition and fees regardless of their chosen international location. There are choices for academic, semester and summer terms, too.

Available education abroad opportunities are in: (Application deadline for Spring 2024 term is September 15, 2023)

  • The American University of Sharjah where students can take courses in the College of Engineering, School of Business and Management, College of Arts and Science, and College of Architecture, Art and Design. The term period is 18.9 weeks (January 2024-May 2024).
  • The Lancaster University where students can choose from the full curriculum. The 23-week program lasts from January 2024-June 2024.

San Diego State University Aztecs Abroad Program

San Diego State University (SDSU), a public research university, has more than 300 programs available for students interested in student exchange and study abroad opportunities. Students can take advantage of learning opportunities closer to home, such as in Mexico, or in Europe or South America.

SDSU’s Aztecs Abroad is its central database for all international programs while its Global Education Office offers intensive guidance and support for students. Students may also discuss their international options with Global Guides, their fellow students.

Available opportunities with September 15, 2023 deadlines for submission of application for Spring 2024 term include:

  • Universita degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo (in Italy) study, an ISEP Exchange program with a general focus on anthropology, humanities, and public health, among others
  • University of Tartu (Estonia) study, also an ISEP Exchange program for juniors and seniors
  • Universidad Privada Boliviana study, with a business and engineering focus; sophomores, juniors and seniors can apply

Idaho State University National Student Exchange Program for Spring 2023

Idaho State University (ISU), a public research university, participates in the National Student Exchange program that allows its students to spend either a single semester or an entire academic year in domestic and international campuses across the United States, Canada, and Guam, among others. The applications due date for the Spring 2023 term is on October 1, 2023.

ISU also has its own Study Abroad program wherein students can choose from 10 locations in Europe, Asia, Northern Africa, and South America. Students pay ISU tuition rates and keep their financial aid packages, too.

Applicants must at least be a sophomore with a 2.5 GPA, among other qualifications. Deadline for the spring semester is on September 15, 2023.

Fordham University Exchange Programs for Spring 2023

Fordham University, a private Roman Catholic university, offers its students with exciting opportunities to study abroad via its exchange programs. The best candidates are students with independent attitudes who love immersive learning experiences in challenging environments, particularly in foreign countries.

The exchange programs involve close partnerships with colleges and universities from around the world, such as Universidad del Salvador in Argentina, Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria, and Sogang University in South Korea. Students usually learn in the main language of instruction in their host country and register for classes as soon as they arrive in their host university.

New York University Study Abroad Opportunities for Fall 2023

Did you know that New York University has more students that take advantage of study abroad opportunities than any other university in the United States? While NYU’s main campus is in the Big Apple, it has campuses and academic centers in Abu Dhabi, Berlin, and London, among other international locations, as well as in domestic locations in Los Angeles and Washington D.C.

Every international campus also provides students with unique learning opportunities! NYU Florence emphasizes the study of the social sciences, humanities, art history and fashion, thanks to Florence’s rich culture, as well as global policy, law and business. NYU Accra focuses on African studies while NYU Buenos Aires emphasizes Latin American studies, global public health, and media.

The Fall 2023 calendar starts on August 28, 2023 with student arrival at specific NYU campuses and ends on December 15, 2023 with their departure.

CIEE Student Exchange Programs

American college students seeking to explore the globe can get an enriching firsthand experience and earn academic credits while at it! Language Study, Science, Liberal Arts, Communications, Ecology, or Film Studies majors can check out these Fall 2022 programs from the Council On International Educational Exchange (CIEE) across numerous colleges and universities across the world.

Applicants must have a must have enrolled in full-time study at a college or university and attended for at least a semester. Check out this page for program application and deadline information.

University of New York in Prague Student Exchange Program

The University of New York in Prague participates in exchange partnerships with counterparts across the globe to exchange students, instructors, ideas, and best practices.

To date, UNYP maintains partnerships with numerous colleges and universities in over 50 countries worldwide. Visit their center for a global engagement page for more information.

Universite Savoie Mont Blanc

Study at Univerite Savoie Mont Blanc through university partnerships, bilateral agreements, an Erasmus program, or any student exchange program. To inform the International Relations Department of its partner universities of the registration dates and modalities, the University of Savoie Mont Blanc sends an official document every year.

Ask your home university’s international relations department to find out whether your university has a cooperation agreement with the Université Savoie Mont Blanc. If qualified, submit your online application on their page.

Universite Savoie Mont Blanc

The University of Ghana International Programmes Office is offering students the opportunity to gain international exposure, build cross-cultural competence, and develop new perspectives as part of their course of study. Approximately 88 partner institutions around the world offer these opportunities to students. This university exchange program allows students to earn credit towards your UG degree while attending a university abroad.

University of Roehampton London Study Abroad

Study abroad at Roehampton University and exploring its beautiful southwest London campus where you can live and learn for a year, semester, or short-term program. The close-knit campus community supports study-abroad students throughout their trip, so they will feel right at home on campus. Students can choose to attend the University of Roehampton for a full academic year or during the summer.

Georgetown University Study Abroad Programs

Georgetown University offers the Villa Le Balze’s Study Abroad in Florence, Italy. Students reside in this living-learning community and take Georgetown courses.

In supporting Georgetown University’s mission and identity as a student-centered research university, the Villa provides academic excellence, holistic student learning and development, and faculty and alumni engagement.

EF University Preparation Munich Program

Based in Miami among other parts of the globe, EF is offering the University Preparation Munich Program. Students combine language and academic studies through a personalized study abroad program in Munich, Germany.

You can choose from these three program options:

They offer 2 to 52-week programs that start every Monday, so you can study whenever is convenient for you.

University of Florida Study Abroad

The University of Florida is inviting students to study abroad through its International Center. The Study Abroad programs, including the sponsored ones, are led by faculty members and take place during the summer.

The UF Study Abroad program enables students to learn about journalism in Spain, computer science in China, and tropical agriculture in Kenya. More than 160 reciprocal exchanges are offered between UF and partner institutions, including the Bocconi University in Milan, the SKEMA Business School in Paris, or the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby.

San Diego State University Study Abroad

A network of 350 universities in more than 50 countries partners with the San Diego State University in offering a wide range of study abroad programs. Students can keep the same tuition rates as at home through these reciprocal exchanges.

SDSU’s Study Abroad opportunities are categorized by major, including Business tracks in Macau and Humanities tracks in Madrid. Check this page for your program options.

University of Texas at Austin Student Exchange

Annually, the University of Texas at Austin accepts reciprocal exchange students who have been nominated by partner universities around the world. Exchange students can’t apply if their home institution does not have an exchange agreement with UT.

ISE Volunteer in Costa Rica

International Student Exchange (ISE) USA is inviting students to volunteer to in a rescue ranch in Costa Rica. While making a social impact, exchange students will attend Spanish classes offered at the local school.

In particular, volunteers will feed and care for wild animals brought to the Toucan Rescue Ranch from all over the world. They will also maintain the cleanliness of the animals’ living quarters.

This ISE Volunteer program in Costa Rica is offered all year long, with classes beginning every Monday. Your specific dates and duration will be determined by a Travel & Study Abroad expert that you need to interact with. Visit their site for more information.

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Vocational Scholarship invites high school seniors from the United States to spend a year in Germany following graduation. Participants will live with a German host family, join training/education programs, and receive work experience through internships with German companies.

To qualify, you need to be 18 or 19 years old with a GPA of 2.5.

Mercer University School of Law Study Abroad

The Study Abroad programs run by the School of Law at Mercer University are designed to expand the institution’s international reach.

Second and third-year students can choose these study-abroad programs approved by the American Bar Association:

Community College Initiative Program

CCI provides scholarships that will allow you to spend up to one year at a community college in the United States. Upon graduation, you will earn certificates for your study fields. Participants learn English while immersing themselves in the American culture through learning and service activities.

Participants may select one of the following fields as part of their program: agriculture, applied engineering, business management, early childhood education, information technology, media, public safety, or tourism and hospitality management. The program runs for a year or less.

University of Washington Visiting Exchange Students

The University of Washington student exchange program gives you two pathways: choose from the wide selection of exchange partner universities or work with the different departmental exchange partner universities.

Regardless of class standing or major at home, all undergraduate students attending the UW on an exchange program will be admitted to the College of Arts & Sciences via Undergraduate Admissions. Four academic divisions divide the college: art, natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Students can pick classes from a variety of departments while in Seattle.

Maastricht University

The university has about half of its student body and one-third of its faculty from abroad, making it one of the Netherlands ‘ most international universities. Nearly all of their courses are taught in English, and you can choose to study from numerous fields, such as Business and Economics, Law, Science and Engineering, Health Medicine and Life Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Psychology and Neuroscience. The University of Tallinn welcomes exchange students warmly. Studying at Tallinn University will allow you to be part of a dynamic, contemporary university known for being Estonia’s student-friendly university. University of Limerick Study Abroad

The University of Limerick in Ireland offers study abroad opportunities to over 2,000 international students annually. Through their partnership with over 300 universities worldwide, they provide students with the opportunity to spend a semester abroad.

A UL degree includes a Study Abroad placement that typically lasts one semester; it is a fully recognized academic component. They remain enrolled in UL full-time and do not pay tuition to the host university while studying abroad. Students can study abroad in the Americas, Asia, and Oceania (under non-EU Exchange) or within Europe (under the ERASMUS+ program).

Study Abroad in Egypt with the American University in Cairo

An English-language, US-accredited institution, American University in Cairo (AUC) is a state-of-the-art institution. By studying at AUC, you strengthen your academic skills while gaining insight into the Arab culture. Egypt’s global university, AUC, allows students to gain valuable global perspectives, form relationships with diverse student bodies, and understand the world.

One of their sophisticated study-abroad programs in International Business and Entrepreneurship.You can develop your intercultural and entrepreneurial skills simultaneously as you learn and explore how to maximize economic opportunities addressing social changes worldwide.

International Exchange Programs at Sharjah, UAE

The purpose of this program is to provide as many opportunities for exchange as possible to AUS students and faculty. Faculty members are invited to send and host visiting scholars, develop exchange agreements with other universities worldwide, and be admitted to the top global exchange consortiums.

US applicants may apply to theAbroad at AUS programfor the summer or fall through Academic Programs International or International Student Exchange Program.Summer program applicants must submit the requirements on or before the first Saturday of October. Fall applications are accepted until the first Saturday of March.

LdM Florence

Due to its historic significance, LdM Florence is the perfect place to study different fields like fine arts, anthropology, architecture, fashion design, and the Italian language. Over 500 courses are available, all in English. However, Italian language classes are also available. Internships at leading museums, artisan businesses, and small companies are available to students.

Their January Intersession Program lasts for three weeks and runs 45-60 hours per term. Their courses are taught in English. This program is intended for undergraduates, independent students, and adults who want to study in Florence.

Study Abroad in Rome at John Cabot University

Apply to Study Abroad in Rome at John Cabot Universityis a semester-based study abroad program. Professors who hold advanced degrees and are experts in their field will provide guidance and mentoring. Join clubs, do community service, and take part in cultural activities at the University.

Apply for the spring program on or before October 15.

IES Abroad

A non-profit organization, IES Abroad offers over a hundred enhanced study abroad opportunities to students interested in exploring and living in more than 30 countries.

The organization sets a high standard for study abroad safety and health with its 70 years of experience. Health, safety, and crisis management are among the core competencies of their staff. The organization offers support before, during, and after the trip.

The Education Abroad Network

Two university volunteers founded Education Abroad Network in 1995. Since then, it has created a multi-cultural network across Asia. The candidates study at renowned institutions while experiencing a unique culture and lifestyle.

You can study in China, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Vietnam, and Thailand. You have higher chances of participating in the program if you plan on studying Engineering, Business, Communications, Health, or Social Sciences.

Academic Programs International API

The Academic Programs International organization specializes in providing exchange programs for Americans. There is no restriction on the student’s location, however. Europe, Latin America, Australasia, and Asia are just a few of the options. You can study in England, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, Italy, and Argentina.

Erasmus University Exchange Program

The Erasmus University Exchange Program was created in 1987. A project of the European Union, it continues to support university students who wish to study, train, or intern abroad. The program facilitates the exchange of over 3 million students.

Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) accepts exchange students and offers study abroad opportunities beyond EUR. Qualified students also get grant opportunities to cover some of the costs associated with moving abroad.

China Studies Program

Spend one or two semesters at Shanghai University, one of the world’s top-ranked learning institutions, through the China Studies Program.

Through this study program, you discover Shanghai, the world’s fastest-growing economy, while living amongst 1.4 billion people. This famous commercial hub is also an excellent place to study Chinese culture.

The China Studies Program application process is simple, and you can receive a confirmation of your study placement as fast as one day after your application.

Bali International Program on Asian Studies

Through the Bali International Program on Asian Studies, Study at Udayana University for a semester or two and explore Indonesian culture. Explore different areas of study and network with fellow students from anywhere in the world while learning Bali’s unique culture, history, and economy.

The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

Designed for professionals and working students, the Humphrey Fellowship Program is an exchange program managed by the Fulbright Commission. Program participants will be grouped in different universities in the US and network with their American peers. They will attend conferences and share their professional work experiences.

The US Congress funds this program, as administered by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The funding covers tuition, language training, living allowances, medical insurance benefits, book allowance, computer subsidies, air travel, and professional development allowance.

Greenheart Exchange

The Greenheart Exchange is a non-profit organization that facilitates cultural exchanges among people throughout the globe. Students can travel to study abroad in 19 different countries worldwide, including Australia, Brazil, Brazil, and China, through Greenheart Travel.

With an eco-friendly mission for teens, Greenheart Travel offers semester and year abroad programs. It is actively involved in carbon emission reduction projects and donates a portion of its tuition to the cause. Students also become part of the Greenheart Club, where they get to meet members locally and internationally.

Participation in Greenheart Travel programs requires a GPA of at least 2.75, physical and mental stability, and the desire to be a part of a host family and community.

Rotary Youth Exchange

Rotary Youth Exchange encourages leaders to become proactive contributors to their localities while committing to the values of peace and justice. When you join this program, you’ll be collaborating with like-minded individuals who are dedicated and passionate leaders and volunteers.

If you choose a long-term program, you’ll live with multiple host families and attend local schools during the academic year. The short-term exchange lasts anywhere between a few days and three months. You’ll participate in camps tours or homestays when school is not in session.

Pepperdine University International Program

Providing students with a study-abroad program is an integral part of Pepperdine University’s college program since 1963.
