Tennessee Tech University Student Exchange Program

Tennessee Tech University has formed several partnerships with universities from different parts of the world to offer rare opportunities to deserving students. This exchange program will allow them to experience world-class quality education and study alongside competitive international students. Some of these schools come from countries like Brazil, Japan, Australia, China, and other parts of Europe.

To be eligible, they must meet the standard eligibility criteria such as:

  • Meet the GPA requirement of 2.5
  • Enrolled as full-time students
  • Completed the admissions requirements of their existing program
  • No current and past character sanctions

The deadlines vary depending on the school they intend to attend. Students must coordinate with their respective program advisors for a complete list of requirements and key dates.

University of Delaware Student Exchange Programs
(Université Lumière)

The University of Delaware offers study abroad opportunities, such as the exchange program, to qualified undergraduate students. ( University of East Anglia)

Middlebury College and the University of East Anglia (UEA) agree to allow their students to participate in a rare chance to acquire world-class education. They can enroll in a full coursework load at the UEA and earn credits for their existing program at Middlebury College.

Interested applicants must have the following:

  • Enrolled as full-time students
  • Have completed about 60% equivalent in the Middlebury College
  • Maintain a good character and academic standing

University of Arizona Student Exchange Program
(Université Jean Moulin – Lyon)

The University of Arizona and the Université Jean Moulin – Lyon created an agreement to offer a unique chance to students who wish to study abroad but still earn credits for the courses they’ll take. Through the exchange program, applicants can choose among the three offered programs for undergraduates and graduates.

Below are the following eligibility requirements:

  • GPA requirement of 3.0 and above
  • Must be in the junior or senior year of their undergraduate program
  • Graduate students can also apply

University of Kentucky Student Exchange Program
(Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)

Engineering Students of the University of Kentucky can grab this unique opportunity to combine study and research all at once through their Student Exchange Program. Applicants can collaborate with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) faculty members in a research study while taking their classes for a semester.

To qualify, students should meet the following criteria:

  • Have at least a 2.5 GPA or above
  • Must be in the sophomore year of their existing program
  • Completed one semester before their application
  • Attending an engineering-related discipline

The application cutoff date for the Spring semester is on October 15, and all required documents must be submitted before the said date.

Swarthmore College Student Exchange Program
(University of Tokyo)

Swarthmore College students can participate in the USTEP or the University-wide Exchange Program and get a chance to be part of the University of Tokyo Exchange student community. They will live and study alongside Japanese and other foreign exchange students for a semester.

To be eligible, students should meet the following:

  • Be in the third or fourth-year level of their current program
  • Enrolled as full-time students
  • Have taken the required language proficiency (proficient in Japanese)

Some of the required documents they need to submit are the following:

  • Medical records

University of Michigan School of Kinesiology Student Exchange

Students of the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology can now study abroad through the exchange program. There are numerous academic opportunities in schools from Ireland, Australia, Spain, Cyrus, and Thailand.

Interested applicants will have to possess the following criteria:

  • Enrolled as full-time students
  • Reached the GPA requirement of the school they plan to apply for
  • No existing character sanctions
  • Have complied with all the UM’s program requisites

Due to the pandemic, deadlines and key dates are extended depending on the school they plan to enroll in. Hence, they have to speak to their program advisor for a comprehensive admissions procedure.

University of Arkansas Student Exchange Program
(Universidad Nebrija, Madrid)

The University of Arkansas formed a partnership with the Universidad Nebrija, Madrid, to present a chance to qualified students to join the exchange program. This will last for only a semester and allow the participants to earn credits, allowing them to stay on track in their existing program.

Interested students must have the standard application requirements such as:

  • Medical records
  • Official transcript
  • Reference letters
  • Completed online application form

Every program may have various admissions procedures, so applicants are asked to speak to their program advisor. All these documents should be filled and ready before the deadline on October 1.

Princeton Student Exchange Program
(University of Hong Kong)

Princeton University partners with the University of Hong Kong to provide a unique learning experience to qualified Engineering students. Interested students will have the chance to discover studying alongside HK’s competitive students, learning about their culture, and cultivate friendship with fellow foreign learners.

Interested students must possess the following:

  • Must be nominated by their respective department
  • Hold an excellent academic performance
  • Completed their current program requisites
  • Enrolled as full-time students

Applicants are required to speak to their respective program advisor for a complete list of requirements. Since this is for the Spring Semester, all documents should be handed in before the deadline on October 15.

Humphrey Fellowship Program

This fellowship program is open to undergrads and professionals who intend to develop their leadership abilities by exchanging learnings about common issues in the US and the participant’s home country. This is a non-degree program, but it offers meaningful opportunities for career development through various courses, conferences, and actual work experiences.

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • an undergraduate degree program
  • At least five years of work experience
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Involved in community service activities
  • With good English language skills

Embassies and Commissions should turn in the list of their nominees to the Institute of International Education before the October 1 deadline. The applicant’s deadline to procure and complete their documents will depend on their respective embassy.

Fulbright Foreign Student Program

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is open to young professionals and university graduates aspiring to join a master’s degree program in the US. Hopeful candidates should have a solid commitment to serving the public or private sector.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Must be Albania citizens
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree
  • Possess a minimum of 2-year professional experience in the relevant field
  • Must meet the TOEFL score requirement or hold an English proficiency of B2 level
  • Eligible for a J-1 visa

Other requirements include:

  • Notarized official transcripts (translated in English)
  • Letter of employment
  • CV
  • Passport

All requirements must be completed on or before the deadline on June 30, 2021.

Boise State University Exchange Student Program

This is offered to students who have been nominated by their respected universities who have a bilateral agreement with Boise State University.

Interested students must submit the following requirements:

  • Completed online application
  • Official high school transcripts
  • A copy of their passport
  • English proficiency record showing a passing mark; IELTS: min. 6

*Other forms of English proficiency are stated on the school’s website.

There may be other needed documents that applicants must comply with, depending on the program they plan to enroll in. The application deadline is on October 1, 2021.

NYU International Exchange Program

This program provides a great academic opportunity for NYU students to explore the possibilities of studying abroad. At the same time, it enables international students to experience NYU’s quality of education. This is exclusively offered to enrollees of selected partner institutions from other countries.

Interested students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum of 64 credits upon application
  • If they’re graduate students, they must be in their 2nd year of the program
  • Meet the GPA requirement of 3.0 or above
  • Apply to one of the selected partner university
  • Apply to be nominated by NYU

Other requirements include:

  • Transcript
  • Course preferences
  • Personal narrative with a maximum of 500 words
  • A recommendation letter

All their records must be submitted before the deadline on September 15 for the Spring semester.

Copenhagen Business School-ASU Exchange Program

This Copenhagen Business School Exchange program is offered to students attending the WP Carey School of Business of Arizona State University. They will be going through regular courses for CBS students and will be taught in English and Danish. Also, most of them have strong ASU course equivalencies.

Interested students must meet the following criteria:

  • Meet the GPA requirement of 2.5
  • Must be in their sophomore year
  • Take up one of the pre-approved courses listed on ASU’s website

If they’re graduate students, they must attend full-time, meaning enrolled in 30ECTS or equivalent to 4 courses. Students from CBS can also apply for their student exchange program to attend Arizona State University. The application process and requirements are all listed on CBS’s website.

Guanghua School of Management at Peking University-ASU Exchange Program

Arizona State University students of WP Carey school can apply for this exchange student program to Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. Nominated students from Peking University can also apply for an equivalent exchange student through Guanghua School of Management’s website.

Students will be enrolled in courses such as financial management, economic finance, and marketing. Classes will be taught in Mandarin or English. The program also requires students to enroll in two credit Chinese language courses (Business Chinese).

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Meet the GPA requirement of 3.25
  • Must be in their sophomore year
  • Hold a full-time status and have finished a minimum of 1 semester of their program
  • Take up courses that are equivalent to at least 12 ASU credit hours

The Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich-ASU Exchange Program

This program is offered to qualified undergraduates of Arizona State University who are taking up the Humanities, Business, Social Sciences, or Physical Sciences discipline and are interested in studying abroad through an exchange program. They will be going to the University of Munich, a known research university in Germany.

Students will be asked to enroll in their preferred courses and must meet the specific requirements. Classes will be taught mostly in German, so applicants are encouraged to learn German before coming to Munich. A similar exchange program is offered to students of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. The detailed requirements and application process are found on their website. The program has a rolling admission basis.

Interested students must meet the basic criteria:

  • GPA requirement 2.75 or higher
  • At least in their sophomore year of the ASU program
  • Have completed the required language prerequisite of four semesters or equivalent
  • Visa requirements for international students

UCLA-Luskin School Reciprocal Exchange Program

This is offered to UCLA graduate students interested in a study-away experience through an exchange program at Hertie School in Berlin. There will be three students from each campus who can participate. All grades and credits earned at the exchange campus will be applied to the degree requirements at the student’s home school.

The program occurs typically in the Fall semesters, and students can go through the available courses of Hertie to get the specific list of requirements. Classes at Luskin will be taught in English.

Interested students must meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary school
  • Meet the eligibility requirements of the UCLA graduate program
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA
  • Present the Graduate Record Examination results (optional)

UT Exchange Programs

The University of Texas offers exchange programs to their partner institutions that may have a reciprocal exchange agreement. Interested students must be officially enrolled in a program in their home university and be nominated. Also, they should choose one of the offered courses written on UT’s exchange program website.

Other requirements for this program are the following:

  • Completed the online application
  • TOEFL or IELTS with scores that meet the stated requirement
  • Transcript translated in English
  • J-1 student visa status
  • Enrolled with full-time course load once accepted to the UT program

UF-BI Norwegian Business School

The University of Florida-Warrington College of Business offers an exchange program to BI Norwegian Business School. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the quality of education from one of the biggest business schools in Europe. Norway is the top producer of chemicals, aluminum, magnesium, and a major oil supplier.

Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher
  • Have good academic standing
  • Currently enrolled in the Warrington College of Business Administration
  • Completed the visa requirements needed to study abroad (for international students)

Students will receive credits for all the courses taken during the exchange program, with prior approval from their respective UF academic advisors.

Brown University-International Exchange Program

Brown University’s The Alpert Medical School collaborates with the Universidade de São Paulo Medical School to offer an international student exchange program. This is offered to 3rd and 4th-year med students.

Aside from being nominated by the designated committee in the program, students must send the following documents to complete their application:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Official transcript
  • CV
  • Learning Agreement
  • A copy of their passport

Fort Hays State University-University Exchange Partners

Fort Hays State provides its students access to a study-abroad opportunity through the University Exchange Partners program. These academic institutions offer a conventional learning experience filled with cultural immersion, academic coursework, and second language exploration.

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A minimum of 2.75 GPA
  • Excellent academic performance

They also have to procure the following requirements:

  • Recommendation letters
  • A completed nomination form
  • Transcript
  • Go through an interview with the designated program coordinator

University of North Carolina Pembroke-Exchange Students

Kennesaw State University has agreed with schools in different parts of the world to facilitate reciprocal exchange programs. These initiatives last a semester to a year, and in exchange, the partner school will send a learner to enroll at Kennesaw State University.

  • Meet at least a 2.75 GPA for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students
  • Meet the specific criteria of the exchange program they intend to join

The University of Central Florida has a reciprocal exchange program that allows students to take major-specific classes in partner universities. Interested students must meet the GPA requirement of at least 2.75 to be qualified and be admitted to one of the following post-secondary schools:

University of North Alabama-Education Abroad Programs

The University of North Alabama has its Bilateral Exchange Programs (BEP) to provide study abroad opportunities to its students. They can choose from seven partner schools and go through traditional learning methods in a classroom in another country.

Participants will have the chance to do research or attend school at no tuition cost and work with German faculty and other students. Also included in this program is a scholarship worth 900 Euros granted by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation.

  • Must have completed 24 credits at Pitt before applying for an exchange program

Lindenwood University-Magellan Exchange Program

New School Exchange Program

Ashland University-Low-Cost Exchange Program

This exchange program will allow students to spend a semester or a year taking up relevant courses in partner schools, paying lower tuition costs. Louisiana State University-Global E3 Programs

The G3 Programs are student exchange programs but exclusively offered to engineering majors. Qualified students can spend one semester or a year attending engineering courses in one of the partner schools. Some of the schools come from countries such as Singapore, Japan, Spain, and the UK.

  • Must be in the third or fourth-year level of their Engineering program
  • Hold a full-time status
  • Possess good academic and character standing
  • Meet the GPA requirement specified by the partner school they plan to attend

The University of Maryland Exchange Program

This exchange program will allow students to take courses from one partner school while paying UMD’s tuition. TASSEP Exchange

The Trans-Atlantic Science Student Exchange Program (TASSEP) is open to students pursuing Chemistry, Physics, Math, or Biochemistry degrees. Students may study for a year in one of the member schools in Europe. All courses will be credited to their current program at the University of Oregon.

Some of the standard eligibility criteria are the following:

  • Meet the minimum GPA 3.0 requirement
  • Must be in their junior level or above upon application
  • Language requirement will be based on the school they plan to enroll

University of Oregon-Japan Women’s University Exchange

The University of Oregon sends four qualified female students to Japan Women’s University through an exchange program. They can go to either one of the campuses, Mejiro or Nishi-Ikuta. Troy University-Exchange Program Through the Federation of German-American-Clubs (VDAC)

Troy University is one of the selected schools in the US that belong to the Federation of German-American-Clubs, offering an exchange student opportunity. Qualified students will be adopted by one of the German clubs and receive lucrative scholarships to pursue higher education from a different classroom outside the US.

UW Exchange Program

The University of Wisconsin-Madison offers a unique chance to qualified students to attend school at partner institutions.
