University of Utah Learning Abroad Program
The University of Utah, a public research university, has three programs under its Learning Abroad Program. First, the faculty-led programs where faculty members and students stay in foreign countries for 3-8 weeks, usually during the summer or breaks. Second, the exchange program where students earn transfer credits; selection is highly competitive. Third, the affiliate program where students also earn transfer credits and enjoy other benefits.
The programs with open applications include:
- The CEA CAPA Seville Center offers a wide range of interactive courses in liberal arts and humanities, among others. Students develop their Spanish and Sevilian language proficiency and cultural understanding. The program runs from May 22 to June 21, 2025 and counts for three credits. There’s a $95 online application fee and applications are still open.
- The University of Galway’s AACSB-accredited J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics offers an exchange program, too. Students can stay for either a semester or a full academic year. ISA participants take diverse courses with local and international students. For the fall semester, the term lasts between September 3 and December 20, 2025, and counts for 20-30 ECTS credits. Application deadline is April 1, 2025
University of Chicago Study Abroad Program
The University of Chicago, a private research university, designed its Study Abroad program for students to expand their horizons through a wide range of international learning experiences. Students choose from faculty-led programs, summer grant programs, and direct enrollment programs by expanding their intellectual and cultural perspectives. UChicago ensures that selected students benefit from financial aid eligibility and transfer credit, thanks to their enrollment status at the university, while studying abroad.
Among the programs with open applications include: (These programs have an early deadline of April 21, 2025 and a final deadline of November 3, 2025)
- The Barcelona: Public Policy program introduces students to non-US policymaking settings. Students enjoy immersive learning experiences through courses and excursions. There are three public policy courses and a Spanish language course. Students complete the program at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
- The Paris: Art History program welcomes all students regardless of their majors. Students complete three art history courses and a French language course. Excursions to sites of interest are also on the agenda.

University of Arizona Study Abroad Program
The University of Arizona, a public land-grant research university, offers its students the coveted opportunity of studying at its international locations. Students selected for its Study Abroad program benefit from the same tuition and financial aid options that the Main campus offers, as well as earn credits toward their respective degrees. There are also Global Track options for certain majors.
Applications are open for the following international locations: (Application deadline for all these featured programs is April 1, 2025)
- The UA Dublin program enables students to explore and enjoy Dublin, a metropolitan city with beautiful natural surroundings. Students complete their courses at the International Learning Academy (ILA), UA’s international partner.
- The UA Aix-en-Provence program welcomes students from all majors to enjoy southern France and its beauty. Classes are held at the Institute for American Universities (IAU). Students take classes in English, too.
- The UA Madrid program enables students to take their classes in English while enjoying the vibrant Spanish culture.
In all these programs, students pay their regular UA tuition. Pre-approved courses are also planned out. Internships are available.
United States Department of State – Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (Sponsor) Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Start preparing your application to the program now! The 2026-2027 award cycle will open in April 2025.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is among the largest in the world with partnerships made with 140+ countries worldwide. Graduating college students, graduate students and young professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines are welcome to apply for outstanding opportunities for teaching English, conducting research and pursuing graduate study. This is an immersive program where participants live within their host communities and promote intercultural understanding.
There are several types of awards to choose from, namely:

- Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships In Public Health
- Fulbright-National Geographic Award
Applicants must be prepared for the highly selective awards process.
Ohio University Student Exchange Program
Ohio University, a public research university, has its OHIO Exchange Programs in partnership with colleges and universities in several countries. Exchange students build professional competencies in intercultural settings but pay based on Ohio’s regular tuition and fees regardless of their foreign location. Applicants are selected based on competitive criteria including academic achievements and letters of references.
Available student exchange programs include:
- The South Korea: Career and Life Planning program is available for fall and summer terms. Priority deadline is March 31, 2025 but applicants can submit until April 18, 2025. Participants will spend 10 days in Seoul and enjoy immersive experiences in its local businesses and cultural sites. The program occurs in August with the coursework completed in the Fall 2025 semester.
- The US: Storytelling, Technology, and Digital Media in Theme Parks program doesn’t take place abroad. But Ohio University students will love the week-long Orlando experience. This is a semester-long program with courses held at the Athens campus. The Orlando experience is at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. The application deadline is March 21, 2025 (23:59).
Texas A&M University Global Engagement Education Abroad
Texas A&M University (TAMU), a top-ranking public land-, sea and space-grant research university, offers its students numerous study abroad and student exchange opportunities. Many of these international opportunities are available to students in its College Station, Galveston, and McAllen campuses, too.
Applicants must have at least 3.0 GPA, among other minimum requirements, to be considered. Students pay TAMU tuition and fees regardless of their chosen international location. There are choices for academic, semester and summer terms, too.
Available education abroad opportunities are in:
- The Swansea University program is available for the Fall 2025 term (September 2025 – January 2026 or 20.1 weeks). Hurry as the application deadline is March 23, 2025 11:59pm (US/Central). The areas of interest include business, agriculture, education, and marine sciences.
- The AIFS Abroad in London, England (GEC) program requires students to complete 4-5 courses (up to 15 credits). Activities include courses, excursions, and guided walking tours to London’s cultural sites. The subject areas include anthropology, psychology, journalism, and management science. This is a 13.3-week program (September 05, 2025 – December. 06, 2025). Submit your application by April 4, 2025 (11:59 pm US/Central).
San Diego State University Aztecs Abroad Program
San Diego State University (SDSU), a public research university, has more than 300 programs available for students interested in student exchange and study abroad opportunities. Students can take advantage of learning opportunities closer to home, such as in Mexico, or in Europe or South America.
SDSU’s Aztecs Abroad is its central database for all international programs while its Global Education Office offers intensive guidance and support for students. Students may also discuss their international options with Global Guides, their fellow students.
Among the most popular programs is the IB Exchange Program. Here, students can choose from universities from around the world including Asia, South America, and Europe.
Note that IB majors must submit their applications one year before their planned term abroad. Priority deadline for the fall term is December 15th every year. The spring term’s application deadline is May 12th each year.
- Consider Nebrija University in Madrid, Spain for its small class sizes and world-class academics. Students majoring in economics, entrepreneurship, and marketing, among others, are welcome.
- Check out the IB Exchange at ESSEC Business School program, too. ESSEC is a prestigious business school with AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations. Students are encouraged to “reinvent the way business is done”.
- Consider the IB Exchange at Sophia University where you’ll take classes at its Faculty of Liberal Arts. Applicants must have at least 3.0 SDSU overall cumulative GPA.
Idaho State University Study Abroad Program
ISU students interested in international study must meet these eligibility requirements, among others:
- At least in their sophomore year
- Have attended ISU for at least one semester
- Have at least 2.5 GPA (except Kansai Gaidai with 3.0 GPA requirement)
Application deadline is September 15, 2025 for the spring semester. Fall semester applications are due February 15th every year.

Students usually pay ISU tuition while studying abroad.
New York University Study Abroad Opportunities
Did you know that New York University has more students that take advantage of study abroad opportunities than any other university in the United States? While NYU’s main campus is in the Big Apple, it has campuses and academic centers in Abu Dhabi, Berlin, and London, among other international locations, as well as in domestic locations in Los Angeles and Washington D.C.
Every international campus also provides students with unique learning opportunities! NYU Florence emphasizes the study of the social sciences, humanities, art history and fashion, thanks to Florence’s rich culture, as well as global policy, law and business. NYU Accra focuses on African studies while NYU Buenos Aires emphasizes Latin American studies, global public health, and media.
For the spring semester study away program, the interest form will be available on March 15, 2025. The application deadline is August 15, 2025. Notifications are sent out starting on September 15, 2025. Rolling admissions are available until December 1, 2025.
CIEE Student Exchange Programs
The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a nonprofit organization, offers a wide range of student international exchange programs. You can choose from semester, summer, and fall terms, too. Programs that combine study abroad and internships are available.
Choose from over 100 programs held in more than 40 cities across the world. These programs are currently accepting applications until April 1, 2025.
- The Ancient + Modern Japan (CIEE Kyoto) program lasts for 15 weeks (September 5 – December 19, 2025). Students must have at least 2.5 overall GPA to qualify.
- The Arts + Sciences (Yonsei University and CIEE Seoul) program offers courses in diverse fields. Students earn 15-18 semester hours over the 17-week program (August 23 – December 21, 2025).
- The Central European Studies program is held at CIEE Prague, Charles University and the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU). Students tackle courses and enjoy immersive out-of-classroom activities during the 15-week program.
These programs have their corresponding costs. CIEE, however, offers students the opportunity to win a free study abroad program.
University of New York in Prague Student Exchange Program
The University of New York in Prague participates in exchange partnerships with counterparts across the globe to exchange students, instructors, ideas, and best practices.
UNYP’s Inbound Exchange Student program welcomes students from many U.S. colleges and universities. New Mexico State University, Nichols College, Tarleton State University, Texas State University, and Texas Tech University are a few.
Applicants must have at least 3.0 cumulative GPA, a motivation letter, and a nomination from their home university, among others. The Fall 2025 application cycle’s deadline is April 18, 2025. The term’s duration is August 31 – December 20, 2025.
Universite Savoie Mont Blanc
Study at Univerite Savoie Mont Blanc through university partnerships, bilateral agreements, an Erasmus program, or any student exchange program. To inform the International Relations Department of its partner universities of the registration dates and modalities, the University of Savoie Mont Blanc sends an official document every year.
Ask your home university’s international relations department to find out whether your university has a cooperation agreement with the Université Savoie Mont Blanc. If qualified, submit your online application on their page.
Keep these important aspects in mind before considering the French university.
- You must have the official nomination of your university’s international relations office. Said office will send your application to USMB.
- Deadline for sending nominations is March 30, 2025.
- Deadline for online registration at MoveON is April 30, 2025.
If you’re accepted, your stay will depend on the agreement. For the first semester, it can be between September and December or January.
University of Roehampton London Study Abroad
Study abroad at Roehampton University and explore its beautiful southwest London campus where you can live and learn for a year, semester, or short-term program. The close-knit campus community supports study-abroad students throughout their trip, so they will feel right at home on campus. Students can choose to attend the University of Roehampton for a full academic year, a semester, or during the summer.
Programs currently accepting applications include:
- The semester program includes modules, a dedicated team, and guaranteed on-campus housing. Application deadlines are May 31, 2025 (autumn) and October 31, 2025 (spring).
- The summer program enables students to gain academic credit across diverse disciplines. Students spend either three or six weeks in the program. Applicants must have at least 2.8 GPA. Session 1 classes are from June 9 to 26, 2025. Session 2 classes run between June 30 and July 17, 2025.
- The two-week January program has an October 31, 2025 deadline. Classes run from June 6 to 17, 2026.
University of Florida Study Abroad
The University of Florida is inviting students to study abroad through its International Center. The Study Abroad programs, including the sponsored ones, are led by faculty members and take place during the summer.
The UF Study Abroad program enables students to learn about journalism in Spain, computer science in China, and tropical agriculture in Kenya. More than 160 reciprocal exchanges are offered between UF and partner institutions, including the Bocconi University in Milan, the SKEMA Business School in Paris, or the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby.
Summer programs still accepting applications include: (Dates in parentheses are application deadlines)
UF in Australia – Fundamentals of Sport Performance (March 30, 2025)
Students from all majors are welcome and, if they complete the program, earn six credits. The program runs from July 13, 2025 to August 3, 2025.
UF in Belize – NGOs, Sustainability, and Development (March 19, 2025)
Students learn how nonprofits promote environmental conservation and social development. The program includes case studies, field visits, and presentations.
UF in Colombia – Global Health and Social Disparities (March 24, 2025)
Students increase their skills and awareness in addressing global health issues and social disparities. Lectures, discussions, and hands-on experiences are included.

University of Texas at Austin Student Exchange
Annually, the University of Texas at Austin accepts reciprocal exchange students who have been nominated by partner universities around the world. Exchange students can’t apply if their home institution does not have an exchange agreement with UT.

ISE Volunteer in Costa Rica
International Student Exchange (ISE) USA is inviting students to volunteer at a rescue ranch in Costa Rica. While making a social impact, exchange students will attend Spanish classes offered at the local school.
In particular, volunteers will feed and care for wild animals brought to the Toucan Rescue Ranch from all over the world. They will also maintain the cleanliness of the animals’ living quarters.
This ISE Volunteer program in Costa Rica is offered all year long, with classes beginning every Monday. Your specific dates and duration will be determined by a Travel & Study Abroad expert that you need to interact with. Visit their site for more information.
Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange
The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Vocational Scholarship invites high school seniors from the United States to spend a year in Germany following graduation. Participants will live with a German host family, join training/education programs, and receive work experience through internships with German companies.
To qualify, you need to be 18 or 19 years old with a 2.5 GPA. You must submit your completed application via electronic means by January 15th of your departure year.
Mercer University Exchange Programs
Mercer University, a private research university, offers exchange study abroad programs. Partner universities are spread across the world, from Asia and Europe to Africa. Students can choose between semester or academic year programs. Credits are awarded but it’s the new experiences, places, and people that make the study abroad opportunity worthwhile.
Programs currently accepting applications until October 1, 2025 for the Spring term are:
- University of Strasbourg – France
- Jagiellonian University – Poland
- Linnaeus University – Sweden
- Al Akhawayn University – Morocco
For a full academic year and the fall term, the application deadline is usually on March 1st every year.
Mercer University’s School of Law is also a co-sponsor with the Stetson University College of Law in Summer Abroad Programs. Students choose from locations in Spain, China, and Argentina, among others.
SeaMesters Life Aboard
Students interested in spending time on a sailing vessel can apply for the SeaMester Life Abroad program. This study-abroad option also doubles as a gap year activity for students.
Seamesters partners with International Yacht Training Partner School in offering these courses:

- Navigation Master Certificate
- Master of Yachts 200 Ton Offshore Theory
There are no specific application deadlines (i.e., rolling admissions). But you’re well-advised to start the application process at least 12 months before your desired date of voyage. You can, nonetheless, submit your application about one month before your voyage starts.
University of Washington Visiting Exchange Students
The University of Washington student exchange program gives you two pathways: choose from the wide selection of exchange partner universities or work with the different departmental exchange partner universities.
Regardless of class standing or major at home, all undergraduate students attending the UW on an exchange program will be admitted to the College of Arts & Sciences via Undergraduate Admissions. Four academic divisions divide the college: art, natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Students can pick classes from a variety of departments while in Seattle.

Maastricht University
The university has about half of its student body and one-third of its faculty from abroad, making it one of the Netherlands ‘ most international universities. Nearly all of their courses are taught in English, and you can choose to study from numerous fields, such as Business and Economics, Law, Science and Engineering, Health Medicine and Life Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Psychology and Neuroscience. Tallinn University Exchange Studies
The University of Tallinn welcomes exchange students warmly. Studying at Tallinn University will allow you to be part of a dynamic, contemporary university known for being Estonia’s student-friendly university. During exchange studies at Tallinn University, students can take courses in English from several different study fields. Check this page for more information about applications and deadlines.
University of Limerick Study Abroad
The University of Limerick in Ireland offers study abroad opportunities to over 2,000 international students annually. Through their partnership with over 300 universities worldwide, they provide students with the opportunity to spend a semester abroad.
A UL degree includes a Study Abroad placement that typically lasts one semester; it is a fully recognized academic component. They remain enrolled in UL full-time and do not pay tuition to the host university while studying abroad. Students can study abroad in the Americas, Asia, and Oceania (under non-EU Exchange) or within Europe (under the ERASMUS+ program).
American University in Cairo Study Abroad Program
AUC’s study abroad program enables students to choose from more than 100 universities worldwide. North America, Asia, and Europe are popular destinations. Partner universities include Augsburg University, Copenhagen Business School, and Charles University.
Students pay AUC tuition at affiliated universities. Programs are available for a semester, a summer, or a full academic year. Applicants must submit their applications ASAP. AUC nominates every student to their host university.
Submit your application by March 27, 2025 for the Spring 2026 application cycle. The Fall 2026 application cycle deadline is October 27, 2025.
International Exchange Programs at Sharjah, UAE
The purpose of this program is to provide as many opportunities for exchange as possible to AUS students and faculty. Faculty members are invited to send and host visiting scholars, develop exchange agreements with other universities worldwide, and be admitted to the top global exchange consortiums.
US applicants may apply to the Abroad at AUS program for the summer or fall through Academic Programs International or International Student Exchange Program. Summer program applicants must submit the requirements on or before the first Saturday of October. Fall applications are accepted until the first Saturday of March.
LdM Florence
Due to its historic significance, LdM Florence is the perfect place to study different fields like fine arts, anthropology, architecture, fashion design, and the Italian language. Over 500 courses are available, all in English. However, Italian language classes are also available. Internships at leading museums, artisan businesses, and small companies are available to students.
Their January Intersession Program lasts for three weeks and runs 45-60 hours per term. Their courses are taught in English. This program is intended for undergraduates, independent students, and adults who want to study in Florence.
John Cabot University
Apply to Study Abroad in Rome at John Cabot University is a semester-based study abroad program. Professors who hold advanced degrees and are experts in their field will provide guidance and mentoring. Join clubs, do community service, and take part in cultural activities at the University.
Apply for the spring program on or before October 15.

IES Abroad
A non-profit organization, IES Abroad offers over a hundred enhanced study abroad opportunities to students interested in exploring and living in more than 30 countries.
The organization sets a high standard for study abroad safety and health with its 70 years of experience. Health, safety, and crisis management are among the core competencies of their staff. The organization offers support before, during, and after the trip.

The Education Abroad Network
Two university volunteers founded Education Abroad Network in 1995. Since then, it has created a multi-cultural network across Asia. The candidates study at renowned institutions while experiencing a unique culture and lifestyle.
You can study in China, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Vietnam, and Thailand. You have higher chances of participating in the program if you plan on studying Engineering, Business, Communications, Health, or Social Sciences.
Academic Programs International API
The Academic Programs International organization specializes in providing exchange programs for Americans. There is no restriction on the student’s location, however. Europe, Latin America, Australasia, and Asia are just a few of the options. You can study in England, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, France, Italy, and Argentina.
Erasmus University Exchange Program
The Erasmus University Exchange Program was created in 1987. A project of the European Union, it continues to support university students who wish to study, train, or intern abroad. The program facilitates the exchange of over 3 million students.
Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) accepts exchange students and offers study abroad opportunities beyond EUR. Qualified students also get grant opportunities to cover some of the costs associated with moving abroad.
Asia Exchange
Asia Exchange provides students with study-abroad opportunities at its partner universities across Asia. Students choose from universities in China, Thailand, and South Korea, among others. Aside from being affordable, the study-abroad programs feature an easy application process, English-taught courses, and extensive student support services.
Programs with open applications include:
- Study at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology if you’re into engineering, information technology, and other fields. Choose between one or two semesters. Application deadline is June 13, 2025.
- Consider James Cook University at Singapore, too. Students gain a rigorous academic experience while enjoying Singapore’s multicultural vibe. Application deadline is April 21, 2025.
- Check out American College Dublin for its programs in liberal arts, international business, and hospitality management, and more. Application deadline is April 1, 2025.
The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program
Designed for professionals and working students, the Humphrey Fellowship Program is an exchange program managed by the Fulbright Commission. Program participants will be grouped in different universities in the US and network with their American peers. They will attend conferences and share their professional work experiences.
The US Congress funds this program, as administered by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The funding covers tuition, language training, living allowances, medical insurance benefits, book allowance, computer subsidies, air travel, and professional development allowance.
Greenheart Exchange
The Greenheart Exchange is a non-profit organization that facilitates cultural exchanges among people throughout the globe. Students can travel to study abroad in 19 different countries worldwide, including Australia, Brazil, Brazil, and China, through Greenheart Travel.
With an eco-friendly mission for teens, Greenheart Travel offers semester and year abroad programs. It is actively involved in carbon emission reduction projects and donates a portion of its tuition to the cause. Students also become part of the Greenheart Club, where they get to meet members locally and internationally.
Participation in Greenheart Travel programs requires a GPA of at least 2.75, physical and mental stability, and the desire to be a part of a host family and community.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Rotary Youth Exchange encourages leaders to become proactive contributors to their localities while committing to the values of peace and justice. When you join this program, you’ll be collaborating with like-minded individuals who are dedicated and passionate leaders and volunteers.
If you choose a long-term program, you’ll live with multiple host families and attend local schools during the academic year. The short-term exchange lasts anywhere between a few days and three months. You’ll participate in camps tours or homestays when school is not in session.

Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law Global Programs
The Caruso School of Law is a prestigious and faith-based law school that emphasizes ethical leadership and international justice. Its Global Programs are concentrated in two locations.
- The London Program welcomes second- and third-year law students to study in London. Students also participate in moot activities that boost their legal savvy. Applications are accepted starting February 10, 2025.
- The Augsburg Summer Program on European and International Economic Law is a partnership between Pepperdine University and the University of Augsburg. This is a six-week intensive program with English-taught classes. Applications are also accepted starting in February, but students can apply throughout the semester.
Both have selective acceptance criteria and process.
Duke University Domestic Exchange Program-Howard University Exchange
The Trinity College of Arts and Sciences maintains exchange programs with two universities in the U.S., Howard University in Washington, DC, and Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. Syracuse University Exchange Program
You can come to Syracuse University as an exchange student if you’re attending one of the universities with an exchange agreement with Syracuse University. The tuition fees are not charged at Syracuse University for exchange students. You will need to pay your home university all related fees and any other fees that are not related to tuition.

Elon University Elon Centers Abroad Program

EF Language Year Abroad is a student exchange program that can be taken in 6, 9, or 11 months. Water UCI Program
Tel Aviv University and Arava Institute jointly offer this program to provide a student exchange opportunity to qualified undergraduates. The applicants will be focusing on water management issues as they begin to be part of a school community abroad.
Applicants should meet the basic eligibility requirements such as:
- Attending as full-time students
- Taking up the relevant program
- Maintaining excellent academic and character standing

Neumann University Study Abroad Program
The Global Learning Office offers students with study-abroad opportunities in partner schools including:
- Mary Immaculate College in Ireland
- St. Mary’s University in England
- John Cabot University in Italy
Students choose from over 60 programs in over 20 countries. Eligibility requirements include at least 2.5 GPA, sophomore standing, and in good academic standing. For the spring semester, the deadline is October 1, 2025. Summer session deadline is February 15 while it’s March 14 for fall semester and academic year programs every year.
Students can also engage in full-time summer internships or semester internships with classes in a foreign university.
Creighton University
Creighton University, a Jesuit Catholic institution, offers a semester-long exchange program for international students. There’s also an academic year (fall and spring semester program).
Applicants must have completed at least one academic year at a partner university, particularly a sister Jesuit college. Examples include Université de Namur (Belgium), Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (Dominican Republic), and Lyon Catholic University (France). Applicants must be nominated by their home university.
Nominations must be submitted before September 15 of each year for the Spring Exchange. For the Fall and Academic Year Exchange, it’s March 1 every year.
Creighton University also offers specialized, short-term exchange programs. The King Saud University EMS and CRISP programs are popular.
Pitzer College Programs
Pitzer College, a private liberal arts college, offers robust study-abroad programs for eligible students. These programs highlight Pitzer’s emphasis on environmental sustainability and social justice.
Among these programs are:
- The Pitzer in Costa Rica Semester Program, a partnership with the Institute for Central American Development Studies (ICADS). Students explore critical environments and the Costa Rican culture.

Marquette University
As a Jesuit Catholic institution, Marquette University excels in transformative education. The university’s study-abroad programs reflect it, and these are offered in more than 50 countries.
These programs have a rolling admissions policy, meaning applications will be reviewed upon submission. Final deadlines are:
- October 1 for the spring term
- November 15 for the spring break
- March 1 for summer or fall terms

In general, it’s April 1 for the fall semester exchange and October 1 for the spring semester exchange. The CSE Global Engineering Education Exchange program, Learning Abroad Center programs, and Minnesota Law Semester Exchange programs have different deadlines.
