Bachelor’s Degree Types

Bachelor of Arts

A four-year degree on average. Awarded for an undergraduate course or program in either the liberal arts, the sciences, or both.

Bachelor of Science

Takes 3 to 5 years on average. Bachelor of Arts degree can vary between universities. For one example, an economics degree may be given as a Bachelor of Arts  by one university or as a Bachelors of Science by another.  Some universities offer both.

Bachelor of Fine Arts

A four-year degree on the average, undergraduate degree for students wanting education in Visual or Preforming Arts. Bachelor Of Fine Arts programs generally consists of two thirds study in the arts, with one third general liberal arts studies. For a Bachelor Arts, this ratio may be reversed.

Bachelor of Business Administration

A four-year degree, bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration. Includes general business courses along with advanced specific courses. This degree  develops the student’s managerial skills, along with communication and business decision making capability.

Bachelor of Architecture

Professional degree. This program is shorter then the Master of Architecture and student may need to move into the Master of Architecture degree in order to qualify for a professional license.

Bachelor of Accountancy

A four-year principal academic recognized for subsequent practice as a professional accountant. Since it is extremely specialized degree, it needs study enough for professional practice in financial management accounting, accounting, auditing, and taxation, among others.

Bachelor of Business Management

A four-year degree designed to teach students the skills needed to become leaders in the business and corporate world.

Bachelor of Marketing

A four-year degree designed for students interested in careers which involves sales, services, promotion, distribution, research, and planning for private companies and the public sector.

Bachelor in Finance

A four-year degree that focuses on the acquisition and management of funds by individuals, business firms, and governments.

Bachelor of Science in Advertising

A four-year degree designed for students who wish to explore methods for learning what customers want and how to create advertising campaigns that reach and persuade them.

Bachelor of Economics

A degree intended for students seeking to understand and analyze the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services.

Bachelor in Human Resource Management

A degree which includes subjects in employee & labor relations, organizational development, legal compliance, talent management, performance management, and workforce planning.

Bachelor of International Business

A degree designed to prepare students in conducting business in various international markets. Students prepare themselves in a position dealing with people from across the world by studying a variety of business norms in different cultures, .

Bachelor of Hospitality Management

A degree that typically includes a combination of classroom theory with hands-on work training so that students can gain practical skills and an understanding of how to manage hospitality and tourism industries.

Bachelor of Philosophy

A bachelor’s degree in philosophy is for those seeking intellectual stimulation and comprehension. Philosophy bachelor’s degree programs are intended to stimulate, challenge, and provoke critical thinking about the world. These programs improve analytical skills while also facilitating access to the mind’s creativity.

Bachelor of Social Work

It is a four-year degree program that teaches students about social work practice, policies, and human welfare.

Bachelor of Design

Bachelor of Design is a well-known undergraduate design degree. It is a four-year full-time program specializing in fashion design, interior design, accessories design, textile design, and other fields.

Bachelor of Commerce

A Bachelor of Commerce degree is a three-year undergraduate degree in business administration. A BCom is a business degree that teaches students various managerial and all-around business abilities such as financial management, project management, human resources, accounting, and economics.

Bachelor of Divinity

The four-year bachelor’s degree in divinity is a full-time professional education that includes Bible study, Christian history, and systematic interpretation of the Bible and Christian faith.

Bachelor of Letters

The Bachelor of Letters is a second undergraduate degree that permits students to pursue humanities and social sciences topics in their bachelor’s degree but not studied in-depth or began studies in a whole new field. Students can pick from various art disciplines and interdisciplinary programs offered by the Faculty of Arts’ schools and centers.

Bachelor of Music

A bachelor’s degree in music is a graduate degree awarded by a college or university after completing a three-year music program. This degree prepares a certified and well-trained team of specialists to handle many areas of the music album’s performance, recording, and distribution.
